Grade 8: Matilda Production
This is a photo of “Matilda” the 2018 MS production. When I was in grade 7, I watched “James and the Giant Peach” and realized what production is and what theatre is. I was fascinated by that and tried to participate in those activities, but “Matilda” was a different form of theatre, which had no lines, only choreographies. However, by this chance, I realized that there are different forms of performance. Moreover, I watched “Rise,” the SS production, and was shocked by them. I was surprised by their emotional changes and the songs that I did not know they were acting. After the Matilda performance, it was short, but I felt a huge admiration for expressing moods with movements. I also loved the mood after the show so that I could communicate with the audience and get their attention from them. This was the first step that I put on my theatre career.
