Scene I

This is a rising action of my scene, which is a chance encountered to meet the mysterious religious group. Since my mental and physical state was all broken due to the previous stage actions, which is abandoned by work, friend, and family, it was easier to illustrate myself leaded to the pseudo group. From what I researched, I found out that target of the religious group is people who suffered from a great pain. In the second gif, you can see that I joined the group attracted by and doing the same gestures with them. This symbolizes the unity and the process of being united. However, since it is a rising action, I still have some uncertainty of my belief and shows a suspicion towards them. However, since I was already abandoned from my people, I just join the religious group, which is favorable to be. The action of unison is one of the ingredients of great composition, that we have the transition between canon and unison in this part of the scene.

These two scene are one of the strongest part of my scene that shows a reliability of the religious group. As the representative of religious group suggest the contract, I agreed to be part of a group by adding my hand to her hand. This is a moment of silence that emphasizes a single gesture to be shown as a big one. Then, the line comes out to be “Now you are part of us!”. This line shows the excitement of a religious group that they succeed embracing a new member. The red cloth in the back is the representation of god. I put red lights in the back because it can create a anxious atmosphere as well as the power of a god. The second gif is showing me praying for god, which means “I” now fully believe in god. This movement is also the recycled movement from the previous movement, which you can see in the upper gifs.

This is the climax of the scene that I found out that there are no god and other religious members are believing the fake belief. I became furious and shout out loud with a voice of resentment. To do this part, we wrote a script and commented each other about the gestures we can do in certain line. I had lots of worry about a scene because if one person believes one thing deeply, even if other people say it is not true, that person thinks it is a lie. For example, if someone says to me that the world I am living in is all fake, I would not believe her because I fully believe in the current world. It would make audience to convince better if I had a detailed and slower process of introducing a group and the process of getting into the belief. This made me to feel little bit regretful that I knew the weakness of perform but did not fix it, but I thought there are no ways to slow down the flow because i just had 4 minutes to do my scene.

The photo around are the notes I took between the preparation sesion. I tried to think deeply about my topic and imagined the performance in my head. The life lesson I learned from here is that the most hardest thing is to the turn the imagination into the real performance. I imagined a perfect show that every piece of work is well-rehearsed but it was hard to turn that imagination into reality.

Scene II

●What is the key moment in scene 2?

●What part includes the ingredients of great composition?

●Which part has a interaction with the topography?

●How is the props and projection used in the scene?

●Why do I like this scene the most?

This part of scene 2 is one of the key part of entire performance that there are a sudden change in light, sound, atmosphere, and movements. This is a start of the conflict between leader and the members in orchestra. I loved the idea that maestro is in the shadow because it can show the small movements of hand specifically. Her scene is well-rehearsed and one of the most effort-put -in scene that all of our members are .satisfied with it.

The moment of stillness and the unison used in this scene is truly beautiful in my opinion. It makes the atmosphere to be freezed and make the audience’s breath to stop for a second. I believe the great show should control audience mind and able to take out the implicit emotion of them. The use of whole body can easily make audience to pay interest in the performance. I believe this can be said that it is one of that moment.

This movement is choreographed by me that I tried to use as much topography of props as possible. As you can see in the gif, all of us are using a canterbury by pretending we are playing piano. The biggest strength of this scene is a props and use of projection. I am fully satisfied with this scene because it is the scene which made my imagination mostly real. Scene 2 is also a bad ending and delivers a message that Geo believed in a leader.

This gesture is repeated as canon and repeated again and again. We tried to use a ingredients of great composition as much as possible that the gestures in this scene shows a repetition, cannon, and unison. The each of four gestures represent fixing tie, coughing, reading a note to memorize the preparation question, and cheer up myself not to be too worried about the interview.

This is the sum up of whole scene that we chose the 5 seconds of each scene that represent the main movement. I think it helped audience to recall the previous scenes that they might forgot and give an emphasis on every scene by delivering the message shortly. The use of projector also helped us to show our movement using a lighting in stronger way because it was not looking good when we were all outside of the projector. By closing the performance like this, I learned that projector and cloth did lots of job in my performance specially in scene 1, 2 and sum up scene. I am satisfied with my performance and also put the biggest effort compare to my other subjects. I am fully proud of myself and want to tell me that I did a good job.
